Our history is so extraordinary, it reads like a fairy story. Just eleven short years ago we began with a dream to become the most innovative luxury hospitality group in the world, and come 2009 we have exceeded all expectations.
In 1997 Jumeirah Beach Hotel redefined what a luxury destination could be. Then came Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah – the most luxurious hotel in the world. It still dazzles and is the benchmark for the ultimate luxury experience. By 2000 Jumeirah Emirates Towers was receiving accolades from business travellers. Then we rejuvenated two legendary London Hotels – Jumeirah Carlton Tower and the Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel in Belgravia.
By 2004 Madinat Jumeirah (three grand boutique hotels forming an Arabian city) had risen on Dubai’s waterfront. Then Jumeirah Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa appeared like a mirage in the dunes. By 2006 we were busy in New York transforming Jumeirah Essex House into one of the most magnificent hotels in America.
So how did we make our dream come true? Hard work – of course. Brave strategy – certainly. We did it by living our Hallmarks and Guiding Principles which help over 11,500 colleagues from 100 nationalities make guests feel extra special – every day. And through our driving force – STAY DIFFERENT™which encourages us all to build rewarding relationships through creative management, thoughtful service and inspirational delivery.
The individuality of the Jumeirah portfolio is unmistakable, encompassing the world renowned
